“In the wake of Gen Zs peaceful demonstration, and in the spirit of finding a lasting solution to the issues raised by these honourable citizens, my heart goes out to those who have lost their lives, injured and/or arrested and am doing so by compelling the National Police Service to be held accountable for the violence extended to the peaceful demonstrators. I asked the Senate to compel the relevant government agencies to address the pertinent issues raised by Kenyans and in so doing I believe the country will heal and all of us will again proudly sing our national anthem; ‘Ee Mungu Nguvu yetu…'”
