Safaricom on Friday, August 7, 2026, launched PATA MORE in the Rift Valley region, a customer-focused campaign designed to give individuals and businesses more value from the connectivity products and services they use every day.
The launch, held in Nakuru, formed part of the broader national rollout of PATA MORE, meaning “get more”. The campaign brings enhanced data bundles, lower M-PESA transaction costs, faster fibre speeds and improved merchant tools under one promise: more value, more convenience and more freedom.
Fawzia Ali-Kimanthi, Chief Consumer Business Officer at Safaricom, said the company chose to engage customers directly in Nakuru to celebrate its long-standing relationship with the region.
“We have come to Nakuru to join our customers because they have been with us for 26 years as we launch PATA MORE na Safaricom popote ulipo. We decided to take this initiative because we understand that the economy is tough,” she said.
Kirubi Kairo, General Manager for the Rift Valley region, said the campaign offers products designed to support Safaricom customers, including those running small and large businesses.
“There is something in our products for all Safaricom customers running big and small businesses and it’s the best time to help them so that they can do more with what they have,” he said.
More value for customers
Jenny Njorolyn, a local fruit vendor and Safaricom customer, welcomed the initiative, saying PATA MORE would make her work easier and more affordable by enabling her to communicate with customers through WhatsApp.
“I am now convinced PATA MORE will help me with my customers because I will be using it through bundles. It will be easier to send WhatsApp messages to my customers instead of making calls,” said Jenny.
Key benefits under PATA MORE include enhanced data bundles. Customers will enjoy 250MB for KSh20, valid for 24 hours, up from 150MB; 1.5GB for KSh99, valid for 24 hours, up from 1GB; and double value on the KSh1,000 monthly data bundle, which now offers 21.5GB, up from 10GB.

M-PESA customers and merchants using Pochi la Biashara will benefit from free Pochi transactions of up to KSh200 under Pochi Kadogo, up from KSh100. Fees for transactions above KSh200 will be capped at KSh50 for the next 90 days.
Merchants will also have access to loans through Taasi Pochi, savings and investment opportunities through Ziidi Pochi and income protection through Tuunza Mapato. They can also earn up to 10 per cent commission by selling airtime and benefit from easier merchant checkouts through Scan and Tap to Pay.
The Lipa na M-PESA Buy Goods Kadogo threshold has also been raised from KSh200 to KSh500, allowing small businesses to retain more of their earnings as more customers make digital payments.
Faster connectivity, expanded services
Customers seeking device upgrades will benefit from packages combining data and voice connectivity with device insurance. These include Neon Ultra 2 smartphones available through daily repayments of KSh55, alongside insurance cover.
Drivers and riders will benefit from Bundle Ya Deree/Boda packages combining connectivity with free access to ride-hailing applications, Google Maps and Tuunza Mapato insurance.
Home Fibre customers will enjoy internet speeds of up to 2.5 times faster across plans, as well as family-sharing and flexible connectivity options. Fibre for Business customers will also receive faster speeds and built-in cybersecurity protection that blocks harmful websites, prevents risky downloads and flags suspicious activity in real time.
Customers can manage services, browse offers and access support through the One App, chat with Zuri on WhatsApp or through the One App, or dial 100 to speak to the Zuri Voice Bot.
