Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has congratulated more than 1,000 National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) who successfully completed training at the Kenya School of Government (KSG), describing the achievement as a major milestone in strengthening public administration, security and service delivery across the country.
The ceremony saw 530 newly appointed Deputy County Commissioners (DCCs) complete their induction programme, while 483 Assistant County Commissioners (ACCs) graduated with Diplomas in Public Administration, making it one of the largest cohorts of NGAO officers trained in recent years.
In his congratulatory message, Murkomen praised the officers for their dedication and urged them to serve Kenyans with professionalism and integrity.
“Warm congratulations to the 530 newly appointed Deputy County Commissioners on your successful completion of the induction programme, and to the 483 Assistant County Commissioners on your graduation with a Diploma in Public Administration from the Kenya School of Government,” said Murkomen.
He noted that the training equips officers with the knowledge and leadership skills required to effectively coordinate government programmes, enhance security and improve service delivery at the grassroots.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku, Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, senior government officials and Kenya School of Government administrators.
Speaking during the event, PS Omollo described the programme as the largest training exercise ever conducted for National Government Administration Officers, saying it will significantly strengthen coordination between the national government and local administrative units.
He said the officers are expected to play a key role in promoting peace, enhancing security and improving public service delivery across the country.
