Kenyans have been advised to take care of their lifestyles, especially regarding sexual matters.
The director of the organization “Kings Condom Promotion,” Mr Stanley Ngara, said that there is currently a major shortage of condoms in the country.
He explained that every year about 400,000 condoms are needed for sexual use nationwide, but at the moment only 200,000 are available.
He said that due to this situation, there is a significant condom shortage in the country.
“Women should be especially careful about their sexual behavior given this situation,” Mr Ngara advised.
He urged young people, especially those in universities and other areas, to be cautious about their lifestyles, particularly regarding sexual matters. He noted that often when many young women become pregnant, the first thing that comes to their minds is to terminate the pregnancy.
He mentioned sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea as increasingly alarming because their treatment takes a long time before recovery.
He called on the government to reduce taxes on condoms.
Health awareness and social responsibility
He said that women go through difficult situations due to their health conditions and therefore deserve close guidance at all times.
Mr Ngara recommended that sexual health issues should continue to be openly discussed without hesitation.
He said that local council meetings, regular seminars, rural medical outreach programs, and awareness campaigns in universities are important.

“We are in difficult times where life has become hard, and even people’s thinking has become confused,” the director explained.
He suggested that churches across the country should take a leading role in teaching about marriage so that society can have proper understanding.

He said that in his organization, “Kings Condom Promotion,” he has been working with women living with HIV and addressing family-related issues.
He has also visited various prisons in the country to raise awareness about HIV and provide antiretroviral (ARV) medication.
He has visited universities across the country to promote safe sex practices through condom use.
At the same time, he has traveled to different parts of the country distributing condoms and conducting awareness campaigns.
He said that in society, women often face the greatest challenges, including early pregnancies and raising children without male partners.
He advised men to fully take up their responsibilities in marriage and be ready to raise their families with love and cooperation.
