The organizers of the highly anticipated Nakuru Trade and Tourism Expo have assured Kenyans of a bigger, more inclusive, and internationally flavored event this year, targeting over 150 exhibitors and thousands of visitors.
Speaking during a press briefing and stakeholders’ breakfast meeting held on 7th May 2026, at the Nakuru Golf Club, Mr Nyongesa Josphat of TJ Premier Events said the three-day expo will provide a powerful platform to promote trade, tourism, and investment in the region.
“We are here for the upcoming trade expo from 28th to 30th May. We have looked at the team for the expo where we are going to promote trade, tourism, and investment through this platform,” said Mr Nyongesa.
He revealed that the organizers held a successful breakfast meeting with over 100 exhibitors and are optimistic about surpassing last year’s numbers, with over 150 exhibitors expected for the upcoming expo.
Stronger partnerships and regional growth focus
The expo, to be held at the Rift Valley Sports Club in Nakuru, will be free for the public. Organizers are calling on residents, businesses, investors, and tourists to take full advantage of the opportunity.
“We want to call on everyone to come for research, learn, buy, network, and grow their brand,” he said.
This year’s edition marks a significant upgrade from the earlier event, with a stronger emphasis on tourism alongside trade.

The expo has also attracted international interest, with exhibitors expected from South Africa alongside a strong local presence. The organizers have secured key partnerships to ensure the success of the event, including the County Government of Nakuru through its Tourism Department, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), Tourism Regulatory Authorities, and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Nyongesa expressed confidence that the partnerships will help mobilize both exhibitors and visitors, describing the upcoming expo as “the big one” that will put Nakuru firmly on the regional map as a hub for trade and tourism.
The 2nd Nakuru Trade & Tourism Expo is expected to create vital business linkages, showcase investment opportunities in the county, and boost tourism in the broader Rift Valley region.
