Sunveat FC suffered a 2-1 defeat against Thindigua N10 FC in a Central Region League (Regional League), Zone A match played at Kamunyonge Grounds in Ting’ang’a, Kiambu County, over the weekend.
Despite the loss, Sunveat FC head coach Godwin Juma admitted that his side showed weaknesses in both defence and attack, although the players demonstrated their talent during the match.
“The match was extremely difficult, but my players displayed their skills in front of the fans. However, there was some laxity in both our defence and attack,” said the coach.
Juma noted that the team still has three crucial matches remaining before the end of the current league season.
“Sunveat FC is still proud to be in third place with 37 points. Thindigua N10 FC leads the standings with 65 points, while Kenol Talents Youth is second with 38 points,” he said.
According to the coach, the team conducts its training sessions at Sunrise Grounds in Kiganjo, Thika, from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
“Having witnessed the mistakes we made against Thindigua N10 FC, I will have to address several areas, particularly in defence and attack,” he added.
