National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula on Wednesday, 12th February, 2025 announced the ruling Kenya Kwanza Coalition as the Majority in Parliament.
Citing a letter from the Registrar of Political Parties, Wetang’ula said that Kenya Kwanza has 154 MPs while Azimio la Umoja has 165 MPs.
On Tuesday, 11th February, 2025, there was confusion in Parliament about which side is the majority party in the National Assembly after a High Court’s decision declaring Azimio la Umoja as the Majority Party.
