Over 40 ‘Inua Mama Movement’ leaders to tour Bungoma on Friday.

Over 40 elected county women representatives and members of Parliament under Inua Mama movement are set to tour Bungoma County.
The Women leaders championing for Maendeleo Mashinani is set to tour Bungoma on Friday November 8, the function will take place at Panpaper grounds in Webuye town.
The group is led by Kandara Mp Alice Wahome.
Bungoma County woman representative Catherine Wambilianga has welcomed leaders including Bungoma county governor Wycliffe Wangamati, senator Moses Wetang’ula and all elected leaders in the county from wards to constituencies.
“All arrangements are complete and everything is set for the big day, I urge area residents to turn up in large numbers and welcome our leaders,” she said.
Speaking during a live interview on Sulwe FM on Wednesday November 6, the legislator stated that Inua Mama movement advocates for the financial empowerment of women, youths and people living with disabilities.
Wambilianga said that Inua Mama movement was formed to help the less privileged in the community.
Another group of women leaders known as Embrace team chaired by former Nairobi woman representative Rachel Shebesh supports the ODM party leader Raila Odinga led BBI bill.
“If the leaked BBI report is true then I can’t support it, there is no way CDF would be removed from constituencies to wards, it also proposes that MCAs should be degree holders for them to be elected, this is awkward,” she said.
