The newly appointment Nzoia sugar company factory managing director Michael Wanjala has pledged to work with all stakeholders at the firm and in sugar sector.

The factory is dependent on by over two million residents is fully revived.
Addressing the factory employees on July 15 during his first meeting with the company workers, Wanjala said that he was very greatful for having been given the chance to serve at that capacity.
Wanjala said that he will bring in more energy to ensure that the factory does not collapse like Mumias and Webuye pan paper mill.
Wanjala also pledged to ensure the workers who have not been paid for over five months receive their dues on time.
The MD also pledged to ensure workers who haven’t been promoted are promoted promising to also crack the whip on lazy employees.
He also urgedĀ  president Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure the sugar sector is allocated more cash like the Miraa farmers who received Sh2 billion unlike the sugar sector that was given Sh750 million.
The firm’s board Chairman Joash Wamang’oli asked the farmers to support the new MD to steer the mill into greater heights.
He said that the state is working round the clock to revamp the cash strapped factory which is facing many challenges that has made it difficult to go for it’s annual maintenance for the past three years.
